Missing Holiday Ornaments?

Did you go to put up your holiday decorations this year and realized you didn’t have your favorite ornament that your 10 year old made in the 2nd grade?  Or this year was the holiday yet another reminder of what Hurricane Sandy took from us.  If you’re feeling sad, angry, or frustrated along with the positive happy feelings of the holiday season you are like many who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

While the storm occurred over a year ago, many continue to face the emotional struggles left behind.  These are of course in addition to the financial and systematic struggles many are facing in the still aftermath of Sandy.  It may be time to find someone to talk to.  Someone who can’t get the insurance company to pay you what you owe, but who can help you cope with the intense emotions that have come with this storm.  That is where the Children’s Home Society of NJ (CHS) can lend a hand.  From days after the storm and for at least the next year, CHS has several experienced counselors who can help you safely work through the memories and emotions that continue to come up after the tides of Sandy subsided.  They offer free and confidential counseling to anyone in the Monmouth and Ocean County areas.  Want to find out more?  Contact Christina L.
